Ch.8 The Big Day

These past few weeks have been hectic. We had to book a venue, a caterer, buy decorations, invite guests; all that wonderful stuff. And soon it’s going to pay off. Tomorrow is the big day!

Guess who flew over to see it? Piper’s mother. Mom and me kept it a secret so we could surprise Pipes, and boy did it surprise her.

“Mom!”

“Piper! Oh, look at you!! You’re all grown up and tomorrow you’re getting married! My little darling baby!”  She exclaimed. (her name is Angie by the way)

“Mom, I missed you, too. But what are you doing here??” Piper asks.

“What? A mother can’t see her only daughter get married?” Angie laughs.

“I know. It’s just . .  I’m so happy you’re here!”

“Me too, honey.”

“It’s nice to finally meet you, Angie.” Mom says.

“Indeed it is, and your son is quite a looker.”

Mom and Angie got a long really well . . .

the big day . . . (Piper’s POV)

“You look so beautiful Piper!” Angie gushed.

I fidgeted in the mirror, she was right. I did look good, great actually. The dress, is gorgeous; I can’t lie. But I’m so worried; what if  I trip and fall while walking down the aisle? Or what if I forget to say ‘I do’?

“Piper . . I can tell you’re nervous.” Mrs. Chance says.

“I-I’m not nervous! It’s just . . ok I’m nervous.” I confess.

“There’s nothing to worry about, today is about you and Reese.” Mom reasures me.

“You know Reese loves you, and you know you love him. Everything is going to be perfect, you’ll see.” Mrs. Chance adds.

I sigh, I really hope so.

They were right; today was perfect, I felt like a princess in a fairytale.
