The End of Adoptacy

•February 1, 2014 • 1 Comment

I said I wouldn’t give up on Adoptacy, but I haven’t posted a chapter since 2012.

Honestly in the beginning I loved this challenge; taking pictures, writing, posting and seeing all your comments.

Because of my lack of updates not a lot of you all come back to check, and I don’t expect anything else. I’ve been through this before where this great writer has this amazing sims story and I go to their website everyday for an update. But then suddenly the time between each post gets longer, and longer . . .and longer. Until eventually, they stop. The author never posts anything again, not even a post to explain why.

Now I understand why that happens. I really wish this wasn’t true, but I got tired of Adoptacy. I’m bored of it. Going into game to take pictures isn’t fun anymore, its more of a burden. I kept promising and promising that another chapter would be up the next week. But it never does.

So what I’m saying is, Adoptacy is done. Especially with college looming in my future I can’t deal with working on this anymore. This post was a for all you let go of this story and a way for me to let go of this aswell.

I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.

I still love the sims and I still do little legacies here and there because they are fun. If you want to check them out go to my tumblr here.

(I’ll keep the site up for those who would like to read it still)

Bye Adoptacy and thank you for reading and commenting everyone.

Adoptacy on Tumblr

Sorry guys for not updating in a looong time.

The thing is, I know exactly what I want to do. But ever since my computer went loco a month ago it hasn’t been acting the same since and my game crashes all the time, my computer freezes or it shuts down on its own whenever I go on. Though sometimes I have enough time to do one project like take a photo for a comp or edit a sim, but I don’t have time to edit more than one set and take pictures for a chapter. Until I get a new computer (my dad is working on it) I won’t be able to work on new chapters.

But . . in replace of that . . I’ve started a tumblr for Adoptacy. And I’m starting all the way from the beginning. I’ll be posting each of the chapters tumblr style (one picture for one paragraph/scene, you know) and this is the time for new readers to begin to reading or for you old readers you can go back and relive it from the beginning. I would appreciate if you guys take the time to check it out and perhaps follow? Thank you so much everyone! ❤

Ch.8 Road Trip Pt. 3

•October 9, 2012 • 6 Comments

The three days at Starlight Shores passed by quickly. Kristan and I had a great time there; we went to several performances by rising stars, checked out a few famous bars, and also went to dance clubs. Like I said, lots of fun. Our next top was probably my favorite, Sunlit Tides. I don’t really consider this part of the Road Trip, since it required us to get on a plane, but who cares?

Honestly, Sunlit Tides was gorgeous (not as gorgeous as my wife, of course.) From the volcano to the sunsets, it was true paradise. Kristan and I planned to make the most of it.

Ch.8 Road Trip Pt. 2

Brrr-iiiinngg! Brrr-iiiinngg!

“Ugh, Jackson, the phone is ringing.” Kristan said lazily, still a little tired.

“Mmhm.” I mumbled, trying to go back to bed.

Kristan rolled her eyes and pushed me gently. “Come on, it’s closer to you.”

Ch.8 Road Trip Pt. 1

It’s been about  five days since the day Kristan and I said “I do” and we were on our way to our two-week long honeymoon. But Kristan and I thought about it and decided against the typical tropical honeymoon on the beach that most newly weds would go on. We wanted an adventure. A road trip; to be exact.

“Do you have everything you need?” My mom asked again for the hundredth time.

I sighed. “Yes, Mom. Don’t worry about it, I have everything.”

She didn’t believe me. “Are you sure? Do you have your passports?”

“Mom, we don’t need our passports, we’re not going out of the country.”

My mom looked at expectantly.

“Ugh, yes. We have them.”

“Good. And Kristan?”

“Take care of my boy.”

Kristan smiled and I just rolled my eyes. “Of course, Piper.”

Ever since Kristan and Mom met they have been best of friends, which was great and all, but sometimes it could get really annoying. “Well, Mom, we should get going; Starlight Shores is a 5 day drive, we can’t waste anymore time.” I loaded the last suitcase into the back of  our car.

“Alright, alright. Have fun! Not too much fun, if you know what I mean.”

“Ugh, Mom. We’re going now! Bye!”

We said our last goodbyes and hopped into the car. Kristan smiled at me as I started the car.

“Ready?” I asked.

“Ready.” She said.

And we were on our way.
